- I got a new Intuos 4 last week and wanted to paint something "out of this world" to celebrate. I started with a black canvas and laid in the nebulas and planet with chalk and then did an awful lot of blending. The smaller stars were done with a variable splatter airbrush. The larger stars were laid in with a special effects FX Glow tool. The original is 20" by 32" and is a little too big for digital art on my computer (had to deal with lots of lag and memory issues). For inspiration, I listened to the music from the movie, "National Treasure"; specifically "Treasure." This was a lot of fun and ended up taking me about a week to complete.
