Rishikesh is an image of my visit to this 'holiest of holies' of cities at the foot of the Himalayas, in India. Rishikesh has many ashrams and is a spiritual centre - in this image, in pastel, I see myself in a cave, contemplating (of course with a cup of tea - I am from England, where a cup of tea offers an almost sacred moment for connection with oneself, or connection with others!). You see 'figure 8' mobius infinity signs - one of the most powerful symbols it represents eternally moving energy. Here in purple - for spirit and turquoise - for cleansing. There are linked turquoise mobius symbols through the door - is this energy moving, or is it actually three figures, holding hands? A pool of water by my feet represents connection to the feminine, and I am surrounded by pink, the colour of the heart. The turquoise blue mobius above my head seems to be the sky, entering the cave - representing openness. The doorway is green - the colour of healing - with turquoise for purity. A peaceful moment! :)
