Description
This Robin egg nest had four little blue torquiose eggs in it. The parents made the nest in a dead tree in our yard. When I went to cut it down I discovered the nest and four little eggs. I decided I could wait a couple of months before the tree came down allowing the little new robins to grow up and leave the nest.

The Mama robin lays one egg a day. When the last egg is laid in the clutch, she will sit on the nest and start the incubation process, this will ensure that all of the babies develop and hatch about the same time. From the time she starts sitting on the nest it is about two weeks till the babies hatch.
