Description:

This is a 12" x 36" painting of a local hay field. I added some of the trees in the background and tried to make this a bit of a panorama view of this field. I entitled it "Rolled Gold" because the year I painted this, hay was scarce and selling for well over $125 a bale. I added actual gold paint on the tops of the bales as sunlit highlights. This was fun to paint and I hope I showed the play of the light on the field as well as the bales as it peeked through the trees.
