Room With A View
Painting - Oil
Room with a View, is an original oil painting of a room in an old adobe house..It was used for many generations and their primary residence and
was made of hand made adobe bricks..the house was handed down many genrations and now is used as a getaway for the family, from the hustle bustle of modern day life. lLife was hard for the ancient ones, but they
were rewarded with a stunning view of the Grand Canyon, a view that
no amount of money could purchase. The walls are cracked and old as
you can see in the painting, and yet it is warm in the winter and cool in
the summer..If this old house could only talk, what tales would it tell?
Located on the Colorado Plateau in Northern Arizona, the Grand Canyon runs between Lake Mead in Nevada and Lake Powell, which spans the Utah/Arizona border. The Majority of the Canyon is contained within Grand Canyon National Park. The Grand Canyon is bordered by the Kaibab National
Forest. The Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument to the north and the Havasupi and Hualapai Indian Reservations to the south.
Weather around the Grand Canyon varies based on the time of the year and the area of the Canyon. The North Rim is generally cool, receives more snowfall and is generally closed during the winter months. The South Rim is warm in the summer and does not get cold enough to keep visitors away in the winter. The Inner Gorge is the anomaly; because of elevation differences, it's temperature is generally at least 20 degrees warmer that either the North or South Rim.
The Grand Canyon with it's majestic views is truly one of the most awesome places to visit in the United States. If you haven't been there please put it on your list of places to see....Maybe when you are hiking one day in the rugged terrain you will run into the old adobe house that has the Room with a View.
