Description
Shaker-round barn.
The United Society of Believers in Christ Second Coming--popularly known as Shakers--established religious communes throughout the northeast and middle America in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Woodwork (furniture), packaged seed industry, and agriculture provided income for the communities. Today, only one active Shaker village remains--Sabbath Day Lake in Maine. The remainder of the Shaker villages are either lost to history or transitioned to museums.

A wonderful round barn presentation, Stephen! I used to see round barns in Indiana when I lived there. The belief there was that a round barn would confuse the devil and he would not enter it.
