The relief or "relieve" in Spanish is the virtual visual experience that dominates the painting . El aspecto virtual visual que asalta al observador crea en la mente de esta /este una experiencia surrealista y profundamente sensorial. The fire of the rythm impregnates the whole space of the painting and throw it to the viewer. The sounds emitted by the musicians set the fire (LA FOGATA) around which the celebrants warm themselves. It is obvious the physical transformation of all the human bodies or participants of the action, the enjoyment of the "compas" and the power of the "rumba" as it possesses and physically embraced the "rumberos",in the painting. The digital aspect of the light in the painting (as I see it and process it from the imaging of my PC) complements the luminescense of the coloring and the power of the sound of the music translated into color and then color into music. You do not need to read the African terms of the "santero" religion that the painter suggestively includes graphically in the painting to get the richness of the artistic experience that is observing and abosorbing and being absorved by the painting. Es usted una persona mística que pudo adentrarse a esta pintura y captar con palabras ajustadas el sentir y lo que se vive en esta pintura .Se que hay oídos que escuchan la música y el ritmo como usted . Que maravilla su comentario .Gracias You are a mystical person who was able to go inside this painting and pick up on the moment that I sought to capture and use appropriate wording to describe it. I know that there are those such as yourself who hear music the way you do. Your comment is marvelous, thank you
