Digital Art - Fractal/digital Paint Collage
A group of four horses running wild on the beach! I designed this work primarily geared to children. So many of us grow up fantasizing about and loving horses. They are amazing creatures that can bring joy to any child. When I was young, my family had a Mare named "Apache". I think she would have loved to run free, on the beach as these are doing here. The horses shown here were derived from a fractal I created months ago (the same one used to create Pure Vanilla and Ducks on Parade). The background is a digital painting..
A bit of history: Humans began to domesticate horses around 4000 BC, and their domestication is believed to have been widespread by 3000 BC. They have been used by humans for travel, work, food and pleasure. They are also kept as pets. Horses in the subspecies caballus are domesticated, although some domesticated populations live in the wild as feral horses. These feral populations are not true wild horses, as this term is used to describe horses that have never been domesticated, such as the endangered Przewalski's horse, a separate subspecies, and the only remaining true wild horse. An interesting fact is that Zebras and Donkeys are also horses.
