Our family has enjoyed sailing for over 30 years. When I was fresh our of college I lived on a little lake and bought a small Sunfish to sail with neighbors. It wasn't long before my parents decided to build a 34 foot Roberts sailboat in their back yard in Wenatchee. It took several years working every spare minute... but they finished their beautiful boat and sailed it out of Anacortes, Washington. For over 20 years, they sailed their beloved boat to Alaska and back! Our sone fell in love with sailing through them and now has a family and his own boat. Now I treasure weekends on his boat with his family.
There's nothing better than catching the wind when you are on a sailboat! This painting was inspired by my sailing trips in the San Juan Islands in Puget Sound near Seattle, in Washington State. The wind is filling the sail and the boat is cutting through the beautiful blue water.
Bring a little breeze and fresh air into any room or office with this colorful, impressionistic painting of blues and pinks.
