Interesting and may be useful if I get to those places, meanwhile will enjoy what you post. Thanks so much for the details. Great hearing from you. Regards. By the way, if you come through Miami and have some time, would enjoy a chat with you.

Brian, very nice, going to ask you the same question you asked me, is this hand held? With flash? Wondering how most European places restrict tripods and flashes. I've seen many of your images lately, from many different places including Miami, all good work.

Brian Jannsen replied:

Hi Ed - thanks for stopping by!! I always appreciate your comments... This was a 6 sec exposure - yes to the tripod. You're right, most European sites restrict flash and tripod - at least indoors. In this case I visited the town the day before and noticed that this church was empty most of the time. I came back the following day with my tripod and marched right on in, set up about 4 or 5 shots and then made my exit. I really doubt if anyone would have talked with me, but I've been kicked out of plenty of places in England, Germany, Italy, France... I will add, in most cases, I've already made the photos that I was interested in by the time they tell me to put the tripod away. Honestly, it's kind of a fun little cat and mouse game... Hope you're doing great... Cheers!
