I had the pleasure of visiting Tuscany in Italy a few years ago and my huge interest in architecture was really given a treat when I walked through the beautiful narrow streets of Arezzo. I decided to sketch and paint this beautiful doorway of the Church of San Francesco. It was in the middle of been renovated at the time and the crumbling walls can be seen in my painting.
