San Francisco Peaks
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Last April 2014 I helped my son in law build a deck and porch for his cabin near Heber, Arizona. From the roof of the porch looking northwest I could see the San Francisco Peaks in the distance. I keep telling Nick to build a spiral staircase and railing on his porch in order to see this amazing view. The snow capped peaks rise well over 12,000 above sea level. Urban legend has it that they got their name from a person that said they were so tall you could see all the way to San Francisco from there. The elevation here at 6,300 feet provides a break from the desert heat. Winter grasslands are dotted with Pinion pine, Juniper, and Cedar trees. There is a feeling of solitude here that offers a break from the noise, crowds, traffic, hussle and bustle of city life!
