Sand Drawing 1
Photograph - Digital Photograph
My niece and I were walking on the beach in La Jolla a few years ago and I was toting my camera. The kelp washes up onto the beach at high tide then leaches chemicals into the sand. When the tide washes it away it leaves an impression. Each day brings and endless variety of beach paintings. In a photo, they are familiar but unidentifiable, one minute a cabbage leaf the next a forest of small trees.
