I had to read your description to see that this was a painting and not a photograph! The colors and the perspective of the sand piper were interesting and understated. Is the setting a Bay. It was vast like the ocean, but there was no ocean spray or wave. It looked like "after a storm" with debree washed up on the sand. The debree line was too straight and layered for me. Interesting painting.

Mary to answer your question I think it was the Gulf Of Mexico after a storm. I will be making this image larger by retaking the photo with a larger digtal camera and up loading to this site. Thank You for your interest.
