Description
Sandy Creek Light marks the entrance to Barnstable Harbor on Cape Cod. First lit in 1826, Sandy Neck guided ships until decommissioned in 1931 in favor of a seasonal automated light. The new light tower operated until 1952. Today, Sandy Neck Light greets visitors departing Barnstable harbor on seasonal whale watching tours.
