Seagull With Wave
Painting - O/c
The birds of the ocean are a big part of an ocean scene. Although this was painted at the outer banks this scene could be almost anywhere there is a surf from the ocean, sea, gulf, or maybe even one of the great lakes. The sound of the breaking waves on the shore is something I can hear when ever I look at a painting like this. The sea coast is a loud place but in a calming way. The gulls and other sea birds go about their day by day routine with no regard to the humane condition. The ocean is a timeless place and gives us a feeling of belonging to mother nature. In my many trips to Maine I have had the time to observe many a breaking wave against the sea shore. In coastal Maine the sea is a way of life. The sound of bouy bells, lobster boats, and the gulls is ever present. This painting was painted in the Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island near Bar Harbor Maine. This painting is protected by copy right.
