Congratulations on your resolve. You've been able to depict so much of your personal emotion. You go girl!

Here's a coincidence. I am currently half way through chemo and I'm as bald as a cucumber too,I have thought that I'd do a self portrait at this stage but just haven't begun it yet. I do plan on it and your precedent encourages me . I hope that your experience is one of victory. Your landscape with the white birches pulled me here, nice painting but your self portrait mid treatment is profound. Bravo !

Some months after Breast Cancer surgery, and well into chemotherapy treatment, I was finally courageous enough to face myself in the mirror, see my new reality, and not only do this self portrait, but begin to participate in my own recovery process.
