Description:

Setting Sun is one in a series of works. The series is called Nocturne which is a study of night illuminated by celestial and city lights. In this series I have challenged myself to work minimally– to use basic geometric shapes and what appears to be only a few lines of stitching for embellishment and added texture. This piece includes hand dyed indigo cotton, vintage Japanese Kasuri, and silk. It is mounted on a stretcher frame.
