On a stay in Maine there were these beautiful rocks outside the cabin. The tide was so dramatic, you could walk to the island in the morning. By noon is was impassable. Cairns are rocks piled in different ways. The particular way they are put together has a different meaning. Some are markers for places of interest, some are memorials.
