If the building zone on the Bund, Shanghai, China, would be a gallery, the rest of the Bund would be a showroom.
When the sun rises in the east, the Bund is a place where people do exercises. During daytime, the old buildings blend beautifully with the scenery of the Huangpu River and the new Pudong area accross the river. When evening comes the Bund is bathed in city lights. A spectacular scene.
The Bund is like "an exhibition of buildings". Though mostly designed by foreign architects during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when overseas powers dominated Shanghai, the Bundís allure is enduring.
