Alfred - thank you so very much for your very kind comments. Having gone to your site (which is incredible - red moon over Berlin :D), you have a truly individual and beautiful style of painting places from your country. My family is originally from Fussen, and my husband and I have many wonderful memories of visiting your lovely country. Thank you again for such lovely comments. :D I do appreciate it.

Alanna, I've been remiss in never thanking you for visiting my site and I just want to say, this is such an exquisite piece, full of emotion and romance with vibrant colors that feel so wonderfully old-fashioned. I love the way you've painted it and I also know sometimes ideas need to percolate for a while and then you have the "AHA" knowledge of how you'll do it. I've been known to get up in the middle of night because of this! You waited until your idea was perfect to finish and your added touches make it so special! v/f

Gwen, thank you so much. (The painting isn't finished yet, and I've changed the whiteish dress to gold so you can see it more.) I remember dressing up also. Great memories. It's wonderful how paintings and photographs can put us to lovely places in our memories! Again, thank you. Are you going to do a series of faeries? Hope so! :D

Hello Chrisann! You always make my day/week. Thank you for your lovely comments. I think I'm going to redo the white dress (with hints of pink in it) in a gold satin. And then finish the rest of the painting! lol I like how the red dress came out also. :D And it wasn't that hard. Bet the gold one will be though! We'll see. Make sure I know when your portraits are on here, OK? :D

Catalina, just looked at your site. Gorgeous. Thank you so much for you gracious comments. I'd love to add this, however, it's not finished yet! Want me to send it anyway? Best wishes, Alanna

Chrisann - a fav and it's not finished yet! Thank you so muchy for your comments on the red dress. It was a lot of fun to do - a LONG time ago. Think I'll redo the other dress. In person, you can see the swirls and the colors, but on on camera. It kind of disappears. Golds and yellows perhaps? You always inspire me. :D
