Description
The River Severn runs next to the former ground of Shrewsbury Town, on occasion the ball would be kicked out of play and end up bobbing in the river. The balls were recovered for more than forty years by a gentleman named Fred Davies who used his coracle to coral the stray footballs. Shrewsbury Town have moved to a new ground but in 2008 two local men who had purchased Mr. Davies’ coracle at auction presented it to the club.
