Keith, thanks so much for your helpful comment about Hilly Stream. Yes, I think you are right about using the technique of using leftover paint.... always the urge is to "finish" things off too perfectly which so often serves only to make a very rigid-looking painting. Yes, I used the palatte knife for the whole painting. You have so many wonderful paintings on your pages. This is one of my favorites.
