Description:

This painting is of my sweet Shelby. I had her for 13 years and she was my best friend. When I was taking the reference photos for the portrait, I asked her to sit in the back yard, which she did happily. She smiled well, but she was so self conscious that she kept putting her ears flat back on to the side of her head. To get her beautiful full ears in the portrait I had to use other photos and replace the ears.
