Smithsonian Butte And Early Snows Along The Virgin River Utah
Photograph - Prints Or Digital Files
Cottonwoods and fall or autumn colors and early snows on Smithsonian Butte in the far background along the Virgin River which leads the eye into this classic southwest landscape. In the foreground we see some dried, but yet colorful weeds, and willows with the flat topped mesas setting off the colorful yellow leaves of the cottonwoods. This is one of my favorite views along UT Highway or Route 9 Scenic Byway about halfway between Virgin and Rockville Utah on the road to Zion National Park through the Zion Corridor.
