Painting - Encaustic
This encaustic painting is made with naturally bleached beeswax mixed with pigments and damar resin and fixed into the surface with a hot iron.
As a beekeeper, I like to make my own encaustic medium by extracting the honeycomb directly from our hives and bleaching the wax naturally, with the power of the sun.
After the beeswax is bleached, I start the complete process of making the colored encaustic bricks.
