Across from my house is a path to the river. This reminds me of the trees there. I keep looking at it, wondering how you can so perfectly capture the low, winter afternoon sun with big, thick brush strokes. Love it!

What a wonderful thing to say, Rochelle!! I used to have an art instructor who said grown ups need to use big brushes...I guess that stuck ;) Thank you!

Looking at this... and feeling that weight of the snow you talked reminds me of the Group of Seven, perhaps painting together in Algonquin Park in the winter. All of your painting evokes such strong feeling in the viewer and carries me, in particular, to lands where memories are stored. Thank you Talya. v/f and g+1

When one keeps saying beautiful, amazing and more, words beyond are hard to find. I am at that point with your art, the words beyond. I am not lost for words, they have not been created yet. Just know that I love your creations and I will hope the world creates those words!!! Always a fav Talya!!! Steven

Talya Johnson replied:

Likewise I run out of more meaningful ways for the words "thank you". This particular little painting makes me think of you and your gorgeous dreamy trees, so I am particularly grateful you like it. :)
