Snowing At The Chapel
Photograph - Photography
It seldom snows in East Texas where we live. But God blessed us this Christmas! We actually had a WHITE CHRISTMAS on Christmas Day! What a beautiful sight for us! My husband had to work all day that day, but when he got home, we went out for a drive. It was still snowing as I took this photograph, as you can easily see.
The photo is of a former church in Longview, Texas that is now used for weddings and special events. It is called "Bride's Chapel & Event Hall." It was "Snowing At The Chapel"!!
It is an authentic mid century chapel that will hold just under 300 guests. But right now, it looked like a Christmas card to me!
I loved the way the trees looked on the front of the chapel on either side of the entry steps. They looked almost like flocked Christmas trees to me. The church was lit just perfectly and the snow looked so pretty as it silently and swiftly fell. It was such a quiet and peaceful scene. When I saw the photo, this Bible verse seemed so fitting to me to go with the photo. "Be still and know that I am God." The verse comes from the Psalm 46, verse 10. When the world seems to be turning away from God, we should be in awe of God as the Sovereign Ruler. It seems like today, it takes a tragedy for the majority of people to look to Him. But God wants us to do that every day. Inevitably, when the tragedy has passed, some turn away again....only to seek Him again when something else happens. God bless us every one! I hope in the new year that more realize that God should be close to their heart ALWAYS.
