Whoa, this is very interesting and I neeed to give this more thought but my first feelings are it's a lonely place, surrounded by no color as you crouch underneath the stairs. Over the archway appears to be a smiling presence (but he looks a bit like Nixon) with his hands resting on the arch. BUT, to the right is the keyhole and while you're thinking, the opening is just waiting for you to figure it out. I know, imagination...... LOVE IT
