It would probably be a common assumption that this was done digitally. Bad assumption. Fully analog. I shot this in the 1970s, just before sunrise at Lake Tahoe. I exposed it using an RB67 on (6x7cm) Plus-X, with a deep blue filter, which removed virtually everything but the boat. There was a blue mist hanging over the lake, but I was able to see the mountains on the opposite site. Within a few minutes, the sun dawned, and the shot was gone. If I had not moved so quickly, I would have missed it.
