A day to day happening over France in the mid-point of WW2 - for this Spitfire pilot it really is a case of 'for you the war is over'!

Head to head approaches were not recommended, closing speeds were so high that accuracy was minimal, but this time the Luftwaffe turned out the better shot. The Spitfire pilot has to abandon his stricken aircraft and look forward to a future as a POW.

Digital art composite print, the Me109 is based and photographed in Ontario, the Spitfire form local airshows and background from my archives- with a few additions.
