Description
I came across this anomaly last year in my garden and puzzled awhile about it. A hawthorn berry in a thistle seed head. My thoughts were that a bird had dropped its bright red prize and the berry had fallen into the thistle and stayed embedded among the silvery hairs of the thistle seeds. Amazing what can be spotted while out with a macro lens on the camera. The berry is most definitely in the oddest of place but it looks rather comfortable, sometimes wrong can feel so right.
