Soup Du Jour
Painting - Oil On Panel
Soup du jour. It means soup of the day, the chef's creation inspired by what is available. It seems to perfectly describe this impromptu sighting of this elegant gentleman. I snapped a photo of this man clearly enjoying his lunch in a french bistro. I was similarly enjoying a lunch with loved ones in this marvelous Bistro in Seattle, WA. The light was alluring and the composition a challenging collection of figure, glass, reflection and light. I also like old people, old hands, old eyes, bodies and souls that have been around and are beautiful in age. Cool.
Words I typically use to describe my paintings include: timi johnson, alaska, colorado, oil painting, portrait, figure, commission, man, cafe, food, glass, wine bottle, glasses, old, beard, mustache, hands, fork, plate, food, eat, dine, joy, feast, warm, content, kitchen, chef, restaurant, french, seattle, cold, blue, orange, red, white, eyebrows
