Spring At Last
Hanne Lore Koehler
Painting - Watercolor
This early morning watercolor painting is a picture of happy spring chores to be done - mine. In this still life garden scene, the tulips have been cut and placed in a pail of water for later flower arrangement. Various garden implements for tilling the soil have been assembled; a variety of annuals, perennials and bi-annuals are anxiously waiting in their wooden flats to be planted in a flower bed home; bird houses have been repaired but still need to be hung in trees. I better put my camera away and get started. The finches are already trying to build a nest in one of the bird houses. After a long cold Canadian winter, to me outside gardening is not a chore but a pleasure. It is wonderful to have SPRING AT LAST!
