Description
I really enjoyed painting this sunning bear. Multiple colors were used with very little white. Establishing a strong light source and glow to create to feel of artic warmth was important. Winter is long for this bear so the spring sun must feel good! The original is painted on a gallery wrap and framed with a floater frame. I am delighted to say the painting just won a blue ribbon at the guild member show in Aiken, SC in the wildlife category.

Thanks again, I learned so much from this painting that almost painted itself. White is not white. There is very little straight white paint used.

Thank you so much AnnaJo! Actually, I loved painting this because I switched my brain a bit and used many colors and very little pure white. It's always a learning process.
