Great piece but Van Gogh actually painted Starry Night from his Asylum room window... By this point in his life he was considered a danger to the people where he lived, what with all the late night knock down drag out shouting matches with Gauguin and cutting his ear off and all. Alex, I love the reference to art history. It is as though you channeled Van Gogh and felt what he felt as he looked out on the scene. His intention was to capture the enormity of the universe and the small scale of man...so the way you have scaled the figure and left it fairly colorless fits with the artist's idea. Very imaginative. Beautiful technique.
