You rock Randy. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment on my fly macro photography image ... glad you like this insect image!

Juergen, this is the absolute best macro shot of a flying insect I have ever had the pleasure to view. Astounding! Superb details and color! fave and vote

Thanks so much for commenting on my Green Bottle Fly macro photography James ... glad you like this pic!

Incredible!

Thanks a ton everybody for commenting and featuring my latest macro photography image ... very much appreciate the positive feedback. This fly was very accessible and gave me a few minutes to set up tripod and move in closer and closer one shot at a time. I wrote about the shoot, camera settings and circumstances in my nature photography blog >>> http://blog.juergenrothphotography.com/2012/08/the-balance-of-life.html

JUERGEN, I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THIS FLY LOOKS LIKE! IT'S WHAT I HAD TO FEED MY MANTISES HAS THEY GREW TO THEIR ADULT STAGE BEFORE I PHOTOGRAPHED THEM! IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THE DETAIL IN THIS IMAGE YOU CAPTURED! HOW DID YOU GET THAT CLOSE TO TAKE THIS GREAT SHOT WITHOUT THE FLY, FLYING AWAY! YOUR'E TIMING WAS GREAT! THEY ARE PRETTY QUICK AND DON'T STAY AROUND THAT LONG! THIS IS THE FIRST FLY I HAVE EVER SEEN TAKING SO MUCH OF THE FRAME CAPTURED WITH SO MUCH DETAIL, UNLESS YOU CROPPED IT! EITHER WAY IT'S A PHOTOGRAPH THAT SHOUL BE IN THE "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE" AND POSTCARDS AROUND THE WORLD! IT DOESN'T GET ANY CLOSER THEN THIS! BEAUTIFULLY TAKEN!, LES (F/V)

Wow. What a beauty!
