The Day of The Dead is all about remembering loved ones that have passed away. Altars are created in honour of the deceased and rituals take place in cemeteries. People often paint their faces and decorate skulls, which are known as sugar skulls.
Adult deceased are honoured on November the 2nd. Children are remembered on November the 1st, this day is called Dia de los Inocentes, (Day of the Innocents) or Dia de los Angelitos, (Day of the Little Angels).
