... A rushing tumble
of silky water, Dry Falls
is anything but dry
after a rainy week
in the Smoky Mountains.
This beautiful waterfall
is in the Cashiers and Highlands
Sappire region of western
North Carolina. The lush forest
surrounds the falls with greenery
in full summer show.
Wet granite rocks on the cliffs
above and below are carved
by the ever-flowing
rush of whitewater.
A long fenced trail follows
behind the falls, heavy spray
showering the adventurous
as they enjoy the roar
of water from behind the falls.
