The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is a Canadian aviation museum and on November 11th is the place to be. This was taken on Rememberance Day. The sun was setting right on the wings of the bomber. I believe that one was the Avro Lancaster. The contrast of the soft colors from the sunset against the the dark impressive shapes from the aircrafts was a composition not to be missed. located at the John C. The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum provides resources for research and the furthering of the public’s understanding and appreciation of the men and women who have served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Our mandate is to acquire, document, preserve and house artifacts that pertain to Canadian military aviation. We depend primarily on donations of items to meet this mandate and currently our collection is comprised of over 10,000 items including uniforms, helmets, medals, films, newspapers, photographs, framed prints and more.We also accept donations in kind for other areas of the Museum. This can include items used in maintenance, engineering, fundraising (silent auction items), food services and retail. Donated items usually qualify for a donation receipt if one is desired.Do you have something you would like to donate that might fit their mandate?
