Photograph - Prints Or Digital Files
Light snow on red rock outcrops of Navajo Sandstone in the western part of Zion National Park known as Kolob Canyon which can be seen by entering near New Harmony Utah just off Interstate 15 (I-15) and driving to the end of a seven-mile scenic loop. These rock outcrops are the westernmost edge of the Colorado Plateau geological region where the Hurricane Fault uplifts the landscape to the east and drops down the landscape to the west. To the west is the Great Basin Province and its deserts, salt flats, glacial dry lakes such as Lake Bonneville and other unique features.
