Description:

My friends Kelly and Dan took the photo that inspired me to work this into a painting. They were on vacation in Hawaii. It's a well-known spot. The photo was grayish and overcast. I chose to pump up the color and changed the weather to partly cloudy! I also added the heliconia in the foreground.
