Survival Among Chaos
Painting - Acrylics On Canvas
Painted with my hands at a time in my life where I felt choked by everything but made it through.
A person can only take so much abuse. I have had tons since childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood. Abuse is abuse pure and simple no matter how it is dished out, and we all respond to the abuse in our own painful ways and carry the scars throughout our lives. This painting was pure emotions after a time when I have had enough. I wanted out, change, freedom, from everything but most of all from the pain I carried within. So I let go on canvas with bare hands and this painting happened. I knew then it was survival among chaos of both my external and internal worlds. If you look close you will see the chaos of emotions in the background and broken, torn, ripped, hard flowers coming out of the chaos. The flowers are depicted as they are because I might have survived but not without scars. Also you will notice that the flowers look detached from their surroundings this is to show that in order to survive you must detach. The painting is not pretty and it was not meant to be. The painting is pure intense raw emotions being depicted in visual form.
Art reproductions are available on canvas, prints, posters and greeting cards.
