Description:
Swirling Color is from a series of Dream Scapes done in 2007. For about ten years I have had dreams of paintings I have never seen before. In my dreams these paintings were done by me. When I wake up I can see between five to seven paintings and then minutes later I can only see one or two. I am assuming that because I live to paint I also dream to paint. I decided this year to try to put these dream paintings on canvas. The difference between these paintings and my other work is that there are never any dark colors and there is a strange flowing motion throughout the work. Also, there is usually a lot more pale blue than there is in my regular work and the forms are less distinct. These paintings are done in only a few layers so I can offer them at a much lower price. The colors are vivid and the surface has a slightly elevated textural surface.
