Hey there Wayne. It is almost 1am and I couldn't sleep and was checking the latest art. behold-your Swirling Wave. This is beautiful-I like the colors-I wonder if I keep looking at it-will I be able to sleep? actually, these collors are calming to me. I've been painting an abstract piece tonight with bright colors-which may be why I can't sleep. Hope the theater project is going well for you. Hope you applied to the Nansemond show. I have to get up in 5 hours and I am not asleep yet. Have a good time painting and great experimenting. marlene aka marlena

Description:

Bear with me, I am in a very experimental stage! A great deal of the work that is running through my mind right now, both painting and photography, are built around the concept that the initial hand work is merely step one, with no intention of it being the final product, but as merely a component of the creative process that happens prior to scanning the image and beginning the second half of the artistic process. For some one who was dragged into the 21st century technology, kicking and screaming, this is a major departure in my thinking process. Old dog..new trick? Anyway, I would love your feedback. This piece certainly has a bit of a psychedelic look to it...and it is the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, eh?
