Extremely Impressive! Johny I hope you had a nice summer.

Thanks Anne. Had a good summer hope it continues until next April. I can see you have been busy creating wonderful images.

Thanks for your generous comment Arjun. Irrespective of ethnic, political or religious affiliation, I believe we should always question the real goals of any institution when there is money and power involved.

Wonderful painting - consummate execution and judgement, interesting symbols and objects. Non-egoistic subject matter! I like to get away from navel-gazing once in a while and this is refreshing, thought-provoking and beautiful! v/f

Stunning explosion of color and expression, Johny! Bravo!

I can't get over the volume of details in your work Johny and the many thematic ideas presented in one work. They are like visual mental landscapes.

Thanks Charlie. I am trying to have the pieces work on a few different levels.

Johny Deluna replied:

Muchas gracias Clotilde. Espero que mi mensaje es claro en este arte.

I came across this book shortly after completing the painting. The Swiss, The Gold And The Dead: At what price neutrality? For the 50 years following World War II, Switzerland has maintained that whatever collaboration it may have engaged in with Nazi Germany was undertaken in hopes of avoiding invasion. Recently, however, foreign governments and the families of Holocaust victims have begun to take an interest in the fate of the many millions of dollars' worth of Jewish gold, works of art, and money that disappeared into numbered Swiss bank accounts during the war, never to be seen again.
