This card is an adaptation of "Shedding a Tear" with text added from a poem by WIlliam Wordsworth. This quote represents how I feel about the loss of life. Our strength is in our legacies - in the lives we touched and the ripples of positive change we created.
When I composed this photo, I was drawn to the water drop on the tip of the daisy and the way the daisy was hanging. Those elements transformed a typically fresh, innocent and cheerful flower into something poignant.
I have always seen rain as a symbol of hope, renewal and cleansing. I hope if you are grieving or give this to someone who is grieving that they feel support and hopeful that as the memories of the legacy their departed has left will provide healing over time.
