This lovely staircase on San Guiseppe Church in Taormina, Sicily, has wonderful architectural detail and great patina.
Taormina has been one of Sicily's top travel destinations since it became part of the European Grand Tour in the 19th century.
Taormina has remnants of its Greek and Roman habitation, a fine medieval quarter and castle ruins, and modern shops and restaurants.
San Giuseppe Church was built during the 2nd half of the 17th century. It is located in Piazza IX Aprile, Taormina's central square.
