Description
TASTE of NATURE by KAREN WILES
Succulent grapes are a childhood memory of mine, growing up eating these delicacies growing around a small white barn my Grandmother had. They are one of the many beautiful things that she planted many years ago.
And even though my beautiful Grandmother is no longer there, her love and care of the land still remain and grow there today for generations to come... The cultivation of the domesticated grape began 6,000 to 8,000 years ago in the Near East. The earliest archeological evidence for a dominant position of grape growing in human culture dates from 8,000 years ago in Georgia.
Yeast, one of the earliest domesticated microorganisms, occurs naturally on the skins of grapes, leading to the innovation wine.
