Description:

As with all my work, I paint from life and try not to see the literal subject matter - in this case flowers. That would short circuit the flood of visual sensation by an idea. Instead I try to taste with my eyes.

I really love how you title your paintings, originally, often personally and subjectively, and you've soaked up deliberately (according to your bio) back to Monet (my favorite) and then created your own style of impressionism, working outside when possible and fast (which I think emphasizes how you know what you want to do and how to do it (and do it well). I had better stop before this all becomes a love letter!
